Immanuel Johann Gerhard Scheller (1735-1802) was a German philologist and lexicographer. He studied theology and philology in Leipzig between 1757 and 1760. 1762, he was appointed headmaster of the “”Konigliche Gymnasium” [royal high school] in Brieg where he taught until his death.
