Among the valleys stretching North of Quseir from the Nile to the Red Sea Gasus is of particular interest because of its ruins and inscriptions. Featuring the women holding high hieratic posts towards the end of the 20th dynasty, referred to as the wives of the god Amon. The essay is illustrated with in-text drawings and two plates at rear. One of them is a map of the area, the other a foldout drawing by O. Wagner. Text in German. Boards with some sunning along edges and rubbed. Light sporadic foxing of block.
