This is a very interesting work from the 19th century in America predicting the end of days and the apocalypse. The author, believed in the visions of Elisha Peck, who was a Baptist Preacher, who had a number of visions concerning the end of time. The author related various aspects of Peck’s visions to certain government officials and historical occurances that were contemporary to his time. Scuffing and heavy age wear to boards. Front and rear boards detached but present. Browning to pages due to age. Signature of former owner on front endpaper and some Hebrew writing and numbering in pencil on front endpapers.
