The brochure provides an abbreviated illustrated history of the company, its time during the time of Modernist Vienna, the Bauhaus period and Thonet today. This part is illustrated with b/w photographs of related environments, portrait photographs of Mart Stam, Walter Gropius, Mies van der Rohe and Marcel Breuer and color reproductions of the chairs designed in these periods. The part entitle “Thonet today” introduces the Thonet-Flex and Thonet-Cut, designed by Gerd Lange, and the Thonet-Trigon designed by Ulrich Böhme and Wulf Schneider, and six pages with four categories of chairs from the so-call “Objektprogramm,” with matching tables.
