Already in the 1920s Thonet went this way with designs by Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Le Corbusier and Mart Stam. Today’s designs presented here are developed by H. v. Gustedt, Mart Stam, E. Harlis. illustrated with numerous b/w photographs of chairs and tables and photographs of seating arrangements from the steamer “Bremerhaven,” the World Fair in Brussels, German business auditoriums and cafeterias.
