The work was first published in Russia in 1872 under the title “Kharakteristika Semitskikh Narodov.” Chwolson draws a parallel between the characteristics of the Semitic race (the Jew), and those of the Aryan people (the Greek). The author was a Professor at the University of St. Petersburg. Waterstaining and creasing on wraps. Head and tail of spine chipped. Four-inch closed tear along bottom of spine on front wrapper. Rippling to pages, waterstaining from title-page through page 34 (no damage to leaves, text easily readable). Translated by Eph. M. Epstein. Fair condition. Good reading copy. fair. Softcover.
