“This book is devoted to the estate properties of Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, Bel-Air, and Beverly Park. Within the 20-mile area bounded by Doheny Drive on the east, Wilshire Boulevard on the south, the San Diego Freeway on the west, and Mullholland Drive on the north, only 129 properties are estates. There are 31 in Beverly Hills, 22 in Holmby Hills, 15 in Bel-Air, and 61 in Beverly Park. Most of the residences shown in this book are “hidden estates,” concealed by walls and foliage to insure their privacy. Few of these properties have ever been published before.”

“Charles Lockwood has written six books about American architecture and cities. Co-author Jeff Hyland is a local historian and a Beverly Hills Realtor. Both have written extensively about Beverly Hills, Holmby Hills, and Bel-Air.” near fine in near fine dust jacket. Hardcover.
