Pamphlet addressed to the German youth, published in support of Ernst Thälmann weeks before the 1932 German general election, highlighting that opposing candidates Hindenburg and Hitler are both candidates for the bourgeoisie. The pamphlet describes the hardship of the German youth in light of the severe recession and subsequent exploitation as apprentices in industry and agriculture, being subjected to the ‘carrot and stick’ method to motivate the desired behavior. The photo-illustrated pamphlet describes Hindeburg and Hitler as puppets of capitalism and facism with Thälmann being lauded as the obvious candidate to rectify grievances regarding healthcare, youth suicides, and unemployment. Inside front cover with advertisement of election campaign paraphernalia, inside back and back cover with ads for youth publications.
