All portraits taken of several men and women clad in similar white shirts, with slight adjustments in hair style and makeup, creating the illusion of looking at different people in each photograph. Places introduces the architecture of Shinjuku Ward in Tokyo. The companion books of the experimental photographer Kitajima are published in conjunction with a 2003 exhibition at the Photographer’s Gallery. First published in 1993. Very light wear to slipcase.
