Passages from Akylas’ (Aquila) translations are quoted, a chapter is devoted to the Targum-Onkelos and Rabbinical traditions on Onkelos are covered. The author is also known for his works on the Sifre, Mechilta and the Pesikta-rabbathi. He was a founding member of the Vienna Bet Midrash and a professor at the Israelitisch-Theologische Lehrenstalt where he taught Solomon Schechter. Text in German with some Hebrew. 2) Wünsche, August.
