“In 1970 Ken Ohara created a body of work called “One,” for which he randomly selected people on the streets of New York and asked if he could take their picture. The resulting full-face portraits are larger than life, close-cropped black-and-white photographs that are as striking as they are unsettling. Ohara’s subjects vary in gender, race and age but the portraits come together as a homogenous whole.”– Publisher’s website
