Illustrated throughout with countless b/w photographic reproductions. The final two appendix sections contain statistical tables and a simplified chronological history of Japan by date, respectively.

Dust jacket age toned with some light water stains and some tearing and chipping to extremities. Wrappers with some light age toning along the edges and some light smudging to the covers. Book block loosened from the wrappers along the gutter of the interior front cover, but still attached to the wrappers at the back.
