Housed in a green patterned paper covered slipcase. This second edition is limited to 500 numbered copies (this is #51). The facsimile consists of xvii, (3), 119, (1)pp. Illustrated with a tinted wood engraved frontispiece, the added wood engraved title page, and 6 lithograph plates, (each of the above with a tissue guard), plus 7 additional woodcut plates, an architectural ground plan and numerous text woodcuts. Laid in at front is a t.l.s. from the Smithsonian Institution Secretary, S. Dillon Ripley. There is some splitting of the slipcase joints but it is still basically sound. very good + to near fine.
