Lichnowsky was a descendent of Maria Theresia and married to Karl Max Fürst Lichnowsky, German ambassador in London from 1912–1914. While living in Munich Lichnowsky was close friends with Carl Sternheim, Frank Wedekind, Max Reinhardt, and the publisher Kurt Wolff where she published her first works. Her refusal to join the Reichsschrifttumsskammer lead to her books being banned during the Third Reich. Text in German. Light wear along edges of binding and covers lightly rubbed.
