This text purportedly describes the historical account of the creation of the Greek Old Testament, (or Septuagint), the first version of the complete Hebrew bible, translated into Greek. According to the text, this took place by way of a group of 72 translators from Jerusalem sent to the Library of Alexandria. The book presents the original text in Greek, with its corresponding translation into English on the opposite page.
