Seemingly surreal yet realistic depiction of scenes and sentiments reflecting the chaotic days in the Southern California Metropolis. The text ends with the sentence: “No Curtain Ever Descends On A Passion Play.” Printed to the inside front cover: “Passion Play: a medieval mystery play representing the Passion of Jesus. It was first given in 1634, in fulfillment of a wow made in thanksgiving for salvation from a plague.” Contains quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Nobel Price acceptance speech. Michaud is the author of the biography “Sal Mineo,” “Moribundo,” one of hisf poetry books, also published at MGM Press, and several biographies of Hollywood Icons.
