This fascinating work is profusely illustrated with numerous b/w in-text and full-page illustrations by H. A. Harper. Age-wear on binding with major closed tears on front joint (but board holding firmly). Lower corners heavily rubbed. Cloth rippled along fore-edge. Head and tail of spine slightly chipped. Discoloration on covers, due to damp exposure. Ex-libris of previous owner on inside of front board. Previous owner’s inscription on free front endpaper and dated 1894. Closed tear at rear of folding map. Very minor and sporadic foxing throughout. Binding in fair condition, interior in very good condition. f to vg. Hardcover. (21167) $65
