The publication feature a b/w lithographically illustrated frontispiece, as well as 11 other full page b/w illustrations (printed in offset) by Clara M. Burd, from the acclaimed poem by Tennyson. The poem serves as a memorial tribute to the deceased poet Arthur Henry Hallam, a close friend of Tennyson, and is written in iambic tetrameter. Binding with minor rubbing along edges and to corners. Minor smudges to the front cover. Interior with the name of the previous owner in pen and a library stamp at the front free endpaper. A few minor closed tears to edges of a few pages.
