Profusely illustrated with color & b/w reproductions of photographs by German artist and author Michael Ruetz. He first became known through his photographs of the student protest movement in West Germany, some of which are present in this work. His portraits of the APO (extra-parliamentary opposition), now part of German photographic history, were immediately bought up by major newspapers and magazines in Germany and abroad, such as Time, Life, Der Spiegel and Stern. Many of the photos shown were taken in East Germany. Tail of spine slightly bumped. Creasing and some scuffing on dj. Text in German and English. Overall very good condition. vg. Hardcover.
